The Canadian Rockies: Alberta’s tourist biggest attraction
When I was reminded about some of Alberta’s tourist biggest attractions this spring, I got myself thinking about what impressed me the most on travels here. I’ve been lucky as I managed to make many holiday trips and half a dozen working ones all over Alberta. But what about first-time visitors, or ones who’ve maybe driven the Trans Canada and had little time for much else? Here is one trip I think they should put on their must-do list.

Beautiful Adriatic coast * Uncrowded Roads *
Several years ago I was excited to invite all my family and some friends to join us in V. Losinj, Croatia as part of our summer holidays in Europe. This was back in 2009. I brought this blog back as a reminder on good times we all had…

Zagreb is the capital city of Croatia.
The Croatian capital is well worth a stay of at least a couple of days. Croatia is a country celebrated mostly for its beautiful beaches. Many Canadian friends, who were in Zagreb last summer for my daughter’s wedding, can confirm this.

Top rides

By: Chris Selden

Top rides – Paris, France.
Paris, France – the city of love, the Eiffel Tower, le Louvre and… traffic jams. Could Paris really be a destination for a PEZ ‘Top Ride’? Well, yes as just 35km South-West of the capital is the gorgeous Vallée de Chevreuse where the cows, sheep and forest replace the hustle and bustle of the big city making it an ideal playground for cyclists.

Ride into history this summer!
Do you know that Edmonton has its own street car? Last summer during the Fringe festival, because of the parking problem in Old Strathcona, my wife and I decided to ride the streetcar.

Vacation under the stars – Camping in the Rockies!
Are you a Canadian who’s never seen their own country!? Do you hail from outside of Canada, and have always wanted to visit the great-white north!? There is nothing more Canadian than camping… sleeping in a tent, small van or a big RV… it is all about spending time around a campfire in the great outdoors.

Retro cycling

From Italian Cycling Journal

If you could have only one bicycle…
What would it be? Most of us have a couple of different bicycles. So if you could only have only one, what type of bike would it be? I’m not sure what I’d choose, but I’ve been thinking about it lately, and that’s why I’m asking the question…
