Visiting Mississauga, Ontario
During my recent visit to a friend who lives in Mississauga (Ontario), I wanted to explore the area local cyclists are using for their training rides. I asked my friend (an excellent cyclist) for advice and he suggested I should go towards hamlet of Belfountain and beautiful surrounding Caledon hills, just north of the city.

How to Start Bike Racing
Getting more kids to ride to school is a key success predictor of any country’s cycling future – and indeed obesity rates. As a European Commissioner stated: ”One might say that Europe (Australia!) faces a choice. Do we want to pursue an American-style approach where kids depend on their parents to take them to school for many years?

The Horseshoe Falls Day Tour from Campbellville
Niagara Falls is one of the best falls in the world, straddling the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. The falls are amazing and definitely worth the visit.

Back country roads, rolling hills, vineyards and stunning views!
The Niagara Escarpment is a range of hills created by the last glacier and is characterized by steep hills. Niagara Falls, on the river between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, is the most spectacular feature of the escarpment. I was at Halton region in October to explore the area on the bike.

A Cultural City with a Lovable Split-Personality
The U.S.-Canada border, the longest unprotected border in the world, sees 500,000 daily crossings. Our relationship with Canada defines ally. While most Americans are familiar with Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, their sleeping gem, Edmonton, is starting to get the attention it deserves.

Travel Croatia – Zagreb

Ivan Meštrović is responsible for a lot of public art in Croatia and this was one of my favorites, located in the square that was once carrying name of our Marshal Tito, in lower town Zagreb, next to the elegant Croatian National Theatre.

Blue Mountains Australia – New South Wales Travel
We went to the Blue Mountains on our first trip to Sydney, Australia. It was impossible to miss the Blue Mountains main destination: town of Katoomba. Though the weather didn’t fully cooperate, we had a great time, because our friends who live in Sydney were good guides. They’ve been there before…

My Thanksgiving weekend in the Halton Hills region
I’m thankful this last Thanksgiving weekend I spent in the area of Halton Hills, close to Campbellville, Ontario. My goal for Thanksgiving long weekend was far from anything ‘turkey related’. Instead, it was to meet my newborn grand-daughter Sophie and to ride the bike until my legs give-out, since winter doom was fast approaching. Plus, riding is the best way to check out October fall colors in the area!
