Cycling stories

By: Bogdan Fink

Not all cycling teams are purely commercial entities
Adria Mobil is a Slovenian pro cycling team and I am its manager. We are a Continental team with ambition to become ProContinental so on the surface, we’re not so very different to lots of others. However, our story is different, and probable unique.

Charming Mexican town in Huatulco area
La Crucecita is a marvelous small town which you have to visit if you’re visiting the bays of Huatulco. From the coastal highway 200, beautiful wide Boulevard with 3 lanes in each direction and a green grass median, lead us to La Crucecita. This is charming Mexican town with a traditional central square bounded by shops and patio restaurants.

Traveling Mexico

The best-kept secret in Mexico
So, after crossing Sierra Madre Del Sur Mountains by car, we are finally here on the Pacific coast, in place that’s called Huatulco. And the best part is we’ll stay here for ten days! Yippy! Only sun, sandy beaches and cerveza for next ten days… that’s what I call life!! Even the “commercial” beaches with palapa (palm thatch) restaurants, such as La Entrega, are rarely crowded at this time of a year (before Christmas holidays).

Edmonton heritage

Four amazing pyramids, endless opportunities for discovery.
Muttart Conservatory pyramids are indeed a “jewel in the arctic”. With eight months of the year shrouded in wintry weather, Edmonton is the most populous northern city in Canada. Naturally, if you live here you would develop a craving for other earthly climes especially in the middle of winter.

Leisure cycling

My First Spin Class
Tonight I finally made it out to an indoor spinning session with Speed River Cycling Club. I was a little worried because I don’t have a stationary type bike trainer and I wasn’t sure how it would work out on rollers. I decided not to clip in… which turned out to be a good move since I did slip off the trainer 3 or 4 times.

History of the Mariachi – Excerpts from — Mexico
The only thing more Mexican than tequila is mariachi and it seems a shame to have one without the other.
