There are a lot of reasons to like Croatia. She’s a beautiful country. We’ve all seen the pictures: pristine seascapes, idyllic little islands, scenic medieval towns, and again pristine seascapes.

Bike Touring is an amazing way to see Mazatlán
In my opinion biking is one of the nicest ways to experience Mazatlán’s famous promenade, also called malecón. That’s why my wife and I brought our road bikes aboard WestJet flight from Edmonton to Mazatlán. Whenever we travel, we are always looking for something little different in terms of exploring local life and we think bikes are perfect tools for that.

Boarding local Mazatlán buses for Mexicans is safe for gringos!
Many people have asked questions about taking the bus in Mexico. Is it safe? Is it reliable? Is it even half-comfortable? Well, it depends! This is what I have to say about buses in Mazatlán.

Tales from the past

By: The Over 35 Crowd

If you are 35, or older, you might think this is hilarious!
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning…. Uphill… Barefoot… BOTH ways… yadda, yadda, yadda.

Great beach day gateway from the city!
When in Mazatlan, you should not miss this trip. But do not take expensive tour offered by many Tour companies. It just isn’t necessary! You can easily do it on your own. Simply get to the ‘Embarcadero’ by foot or taxi. Don’t forget beach towels and swimming suits!

Riding your bike is fun and enjoyable
There’s never a wrong time to get into cycling whether at 5 years old or starting at 50 years old. We all do it for various reasons but it always comes down to the fact that it is fun and enjoyable. Age can be seen as a hurdle by many and it can be if you don’t know a few things to look out for going into it.

Exploring Old Mazatlán (Centro Historico)
It is true what they say: Time flies when you’re having fun. And that’s what we have here in Centro Historico area, or as they also call it Old Mazatlán. The average temperature hovers around 28 degrees Celsius; the sun shines every day and outdoors is the place to be.
