My daughter just turned 31!

My daughter Sanja will turn 31 this weekend. I am as old as dirt! I originally wrote this on her 30th birthday, but decided to repost it because I still feel the same. A lot has happened in her life in one year. She traveled around the world and fulfilled her long standing dream for traveling. Now she is back again and just moved to her house again.

My mother passed away one year ago – on Mothers Day! It is hard to believe one year has gone by already. There is not one day that passed I did not think about her. It has definitely been a very difficult year for me and my family. We still talk about her and her life at our family gathering. Here is what I wrote about her last year:

Hello everyone!
It’s been two years already! Samantha Louise Bagnall and Neven Kahlina got married on May 2nd, 2009. It was one beautiful day in between several cold days at the beginning of May that year. They have become a proud parents of little baby Luka since than. It was a beautiful ceremony at St. Joachim Catholic Church, followed by a reception and a dance at St. John’s Cultural Centre in Edmonton.

Leaving pawprints on our hearts

Our beloved nine-year old Golden retriever Rheya, has passed away this week. We sadly said goodbye to her, after Rheya succumbed to the pain of cancer. I am eternally grateful for the nine wonderful years that Rheya gave us, full of excitement and Love, and a wonderful friendship that we’ll never forget.
