By: Zdenko Kahlina

Awesome concert in Croatian Cultural Center!
“It’s weekends like the one just passed, that make Monday mornings beautiful! Any time I get to dance the ‘Međimurski’ czardas is a great day/weekend! Miss it so much!!! Thank you Đuka…” said Mary Balen-Medurecan, talking about Đuka Čajić concert.

Zagreb is capital city of Croatia
I’ve been living in Canada for more than 20 years now, but I always return to my home town Zagreb and never have enough of it! Zagreb is my city, because I was born there. I carry so many memories, that where ever I go around the town, something always reminds me of something from the years when I was growing up on these streets – good old memories…

Travel Croatia – Zagreb

From The New York Times

Ivan Meštrović is responsible for a lot of public art in Croatia and this was one of my favorites, located in the square that was once carrying name of our Marshal Tito, in lower town Zagreb, next to the elegant Croatian National Theatre.

World Travel

Zagreb Reclaims Its Status As Must-See Old World City

By ROBERT CROSS, Chicago Tribune

ZAGREB, Croatia — One morning, shrieking whistles yanked me out of a deep sleep. They sounded like a thousand cops dealing with an apocalyptic traffic jam. The constant racket drove out all rational thought.

Spring in Zagreb: Dolac market

By: Dumneazu

Its been a dreary and lingering winter in Budapest, which is up in the top reaches of the Carpathian basin, so when spring won’t come to us, we have to go to spring. That means down south, and that means Da Balkans.
